About Us
Andika is a Swahili word that literally stands for ‘writing’ or ‘drawing’ depending on context. This one word essentially defines who we are and what we do; birthing ideas from writings all through to scribbles on paper into a fully blown quality and luring animation.
Andika animation is an animation studio found in Kampala Uganda that offers the highest quality animation services in the fields of; 2D & 3D Character animation, Character design, Content & Visual development, Storyboarding and also Architectural and structural visualization.
We came into existence when a team of four like-minded persons with the least having a combined experience of 10 years in the fields of animation and illustration came together in 2019. Our mission was and still is to create a portal on the budding African animation scene through which top notch relatable animations would be channelled out in the form of Short films, feature films, animated TV series, TV Commercials and Adverts, promotional and educational content.
And voila! Andika animation studio was born.

We are passionate about telling your story in the most effective way possible and helping you achieve your goals. Creating animated videos that will entertain, inform and inspire your target audience.
It all begins as just another idea which then translates into the art of story. We take the story and refine it to be precisely and directly about the intended subject matter with the intent to inform, inspire and entertain.
The story now becomes audible. We add the suitable voice to the corresponding segment of the script.
We create visual translations of the story script in form of a sequence of illustrations. We then combine the actor’s voice with the matching illustration sequence to have a rough pre- visualisation of the entire animation before actual production.
We bring the characters and all the other visual elements to life
We combine all the visual, aural, and audio elements from the different sources into one composite masterpiece of animation.
